APK CLUB (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates a website that provides a directory of AI tools and a two‑tool comparison feature (pairwise face‑offs). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our pairwise comparison tool, browse our directory, or interact with our forms, and how we use, store, and share that information.

2. Information We Collect

Because our service is intentionally simple (compare two tools, get a table), we collect minimal data.

2.1 Information you provide directly

• Contact & support forms – Name, email address, message content.
• Tool submission form – Tool name, URL, description, pricing, feature tags, and your contact email.
• Newsletter sign‑up – Email address (if you opt in).
• Correction requests – Which comparison pair and which attribute is wrong; optional email for follow‑up.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you use our two‑tool comparison feature, we automatically log:

• The pair of tools you compared (e.g., “Jasper vs. Copy.ai”). This is anonymised – we do not link it to your IP address after 24 hours.
• Aggregated usage data – How often each pair is compared, average time spent on comparison page.
• Technical data – IP address (truncated after 7 days), browser type, device type, referring URL.

2.3 Cookies & local storage

We use:

• Essential cookie – Remember your cookie preference.
• Local storage – (Not a cookie) To temporarily remember your last compared pair so you don’t lose your place. This stays on your device.
• No tracking cookies – We do not use Google Analytics or any third‑party analytics that cross‑site track you. We use a privacy‑friendly analytics tool (Plausible or self‑hosted Umami) that does not use cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate the pairwise comparison engine – Determine which comparison table to show when you select Tool A and Tool B.
• To improve our directory – If many users compare Tool X vs. Tool Y, we prioritise keeping that pair’s data extra fresh.
• To respond to correction requests – Fix outdated information in specific two‑tool tables.
• To prevent abuse – Detect automated scripts that try to scrape all possible pairwise combinations.

We do not use your data to build personal profiles, serve behavioural ads, or sell to third parties.

4. Legal Basis (GDPR for EEA users)

• Consent – For optional cookies (none used currently) and newsletter.
• Legitimate interests – To understand which two‑tool comparisons are popular, secure our website, and improve accuracy.
• Contract – When you submit a tool listing request.

5. Sharing Your Information

We share data only with:

• Hosting provider – Vercel / Netlify / AWS (depending on setup). They have access only to server logs.
• Privacy‑friendly analytics – Aggregated comparison pair popularity (no IPs, no user IDs).
• Legal authorities – If required by law.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. The fact that you compared “Tool A vs. Tool B” is never sold or shared in an identifiable way.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may request:

• Access to your personal data (we store very little – mainly email if you contacted us).
• Deletion of your contact information.
• Correction of inaccurate data.
• Opt‑out of any future newsletter.

7. Data Retention

• Contact form emails: 2 years, then deleted.
• Tool submission data: kept while tool is listed; submission logs retained for 1 year after removal.
• Anonymised comparison logs (tool pair only, no IP): kept indefinitely for trend analysis.
• Server IP logs: deleted after 7 days.

8. Children’s Privacy

APK CLUB is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Third‑Party Links

Our directory links to external AI tools. This policy does not apply to those sites. Read their privacy policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will post a notice on our homepage (e.g., “Updated Privacy Policy”).
